The scraper plate is a soil sampling tool that scrapes soil from the surface in arbitrary thicknesses within the range defined by the frame. Due to its large sampling area, it can obtain the necessary sample volume for analysis even when collecting soil in thin layers, allowing for a detailed understanding of the depth distribution of the target substances being investigated. It is used for detailed investigations of the depth distribution of cesium-137 contained in the soil. It can also be used to investigate the existing quantity of target substances per unit area and to determine bulk density.
